Separate Groups, One Umbrella

Storyteller: Michelle
Age: 52
Identity: Bi/queer

I don’t feel like we’re one community. I used to, and now I really, really don’t. We’re not a homogenous group, we are very separate groups under one umbrella. And that’s so obvious in some ways... I’m an intersectional queer person; I’m brown, I’m bi, I describe myself as queer, I’m neurodivergent, I’ve got hidden disabilities. I’m not just one thing, none of us are.
